For the web hosting companies out there. What factors do you use to determine the right price for your hosting plans and packages?
I'm assuming that it certainly depends on the services that are included and the way that you acquire your customers. If you get local customers from word of mouth, then you can charge more and have a closer relationship with them that includes more custom services. However, if you get customers from the internet on a basic shared plan with little or no sales efforts, then the pricing would be cheaper and less services.
I would guess that expenses, number of customers, customer growth and revenue, etc. go into the calculations as well.
